Massive 797B Chassis Delivered
First time 797B Mine Truck chassis delivered to customer fully assembled.
Two Caterpillar 797B Mine Trucks were delivered in early June to the BMA Saraji Mine in central Queensland from Hastings Deering in Mackay, where they were fully assembled. This is the first time a chassis of a 797B Mine Truck, the largest mechanical drive truck in the world, has been fully assembled at a Caterpillar Dealer’s branch. Due to the difficulties in the past delivering the huge 797B by public road, they have always been assembled on site at the customer’s mine.

10 Row Module for Kress Coal Hauler
Successful utilisation of a Drake 10 row module to deliver two (2) Kress Coal Haulers to customer at lower travel height.
Two Kress Coal haulers were delivered in May & June to the BMA Norwich Park Mine in central Queensland from Hastings Deering in Brisbane. NQ Group has utilised 10 rows of their new 16 row Drake Module to allow customer a lower travel height alternative and reducing pass-on costs associated with Electrical Height Escorts at higher travel heights.
NQHH’s Business Development Manager Mal Lewis says the design of the Drake Module removes the structural back bone from the centre line of the module, allowing the Kress to sit lower in and on the module. This enabled a travel height of 5.3m for the Kress Coal Hauler.
